Twins Kitty and Mimmy soar in their magic hot-air balloon to rescue a failing bakery, heal a sick girl with some magic presents, help a professor chase down his broken robot, and touch down in a land of pretty paper crafts. Chock-full of lessons about helping others, doing chores at home, and learning safety and etiquette, this 8-episode collection also contradicts itself by allowing the kittens to talk to strangers without their parents and even enter the home of an adult male who asks them for help. (He ends up being the father of the sick girl, but that could add to a youngster's confusion.) Sanrio's cash cow is all giggles and cutesy voices, making her a little too saccharine for most boys. And, while the cultural icon may be the cat's meow to such disparate celebrities as Sarah Jessica Parker and Christian Aguilera, the Hello Kitty's Paradise series is strictly for her youngest fans.
